Rapid App Phototype Workshop
Rapid Application Prototype Workshop
Your Smoothest Path to Open Systems
[Figures (if any) appear in the document image only.]
On the Path to Open Systems
One of the greatest advantages that open systems offer is the ability
to drastically reduce your application development time and costs.
HP's Rapid Application Prototype Workshop demonstrates this benefit by
applying the latest open systems technologies and tools to your own
business case and strategic application. The workshop is designed to
empower your own people to use open systems tools. It results in a
userdefined, technical design of the business case and an application
prototype.
Process Features
o Phase 1. HP consultants visit your site and interview your
organization team to develop business case and define a related
strategic application.
o Phase 2. HP consultants prepare a preliminary application prototype
at HP's site, with HP tools and hardware.
o Phase 3. A small group from your organization works concurrently with
HP consultants at HP's site on specific application prototype
modules (user interface, database, connectivity, and integration)
and production system planning (networking and communications,
architectural review, and project scoping).

the prototype development. Executives attend the presentation at the
end of the workshop.

expanded business cases.
